About Prolapse

What can I do about pelvic organ prolapse?

There are many options available to help with POP, including pelvic floor physiotherapy, surgery, and pessaries.  One of the least invasion and most effective ways to manage your symptoms is prolapse support garments.

Support belts give immediate relief and are beneficial for a variety of feminine conditions. They provide firm compression for vulvar varicosities and give good prenatal and postpartum support. They ease genital and pelvic discomfort caused by rectocele, cystocele and enterocele, as well as mild genital lymphedema, and (SPD) symphysis pubis dysfunction.

Pelvic support garments do not cure POP. They simply help you manage your daily life and get you back to being active again.

Why is the Prolastix T-belt so effective?

It’s an all elastic compression belt, so it’s remarkably comfortable and easy to pull on and off. But the main reason is the unique 1″ thick pad that provides you with the much longed-for pressure to the vaginal area. You will feel the immediate relief!

When can I wear the T-belt?

You can wear it all day, every day. Put it on first thing in the morning to help prevent swelling and pain before it starts.

Who can wear It?

Any woman can wear the T-belt. It provides pressure and comfort if you suffer from prolapse, or soreness or tenderness in the pubic area.

What is it made of?

The Prolastix T-belt is made of high quality, breathable 100% polyester knit elastic, the jersey fabric is 60% polyester/35% rayon/5% spandex, the interfacing is 100% polyester, the foam padding is 100% polyurethane (the kind used in shoulder pads, etc.) and has been made to be the right shape for your vaginal area. For your protection all garments are treated with antibacterial PUREROX before shipping.

How do I know what size to buy?

Because the garment is all elastic, it provides comfortable “give.” Measure your waist with a flexible tape measure (snug fit, but not tight) and check the size chart for the size closest to yours.

Can I return it?

Yes. If for any reason you are not happy with your purchase, we want to make it right. Check out the Refund and Return Policy for details.

Should I wear it over or under my panties?

We recommend wearing the T-belt over your panties as this is most comfortable and keeps the garment cleaner, longer.

If the pad is a bit off position for my body, can I adjust it?

Yes. The T-belt is based on standard panty sizes. You may find, however, that the pad needs to be repositioned. Just fit the pad in the crotch area where it feels most comfortable and move the vertical crotch belt either up or down. Sometimes, just pulling the waistband higher at the back does the trick. The front of the belt should sit below your tummy.

How do I care for the T-belt?

Machine wash on delicate or hand wash in cold water using mild detergent, squeeze out excess water and hang to dry.  You can wash it as often as you like. Having 2 or more garments makes sense, so you always have a T-belt on hand.

Who makes the T-belt?

Prolastix is a company whose goal is to provide the best and most effective support garments for women who suffer from prolapse, pelvic pain, and other feminine conditions. The Prolastix T-belt is made in Canada by talented and caring individuals who understand your needs.

Product Tips

1.
The best way to wear the T-belt is over panties, keeping it cleaner, longer. Putting a panty liner directly on the padding will also help protect it.
2.
Put on first thing in the morning it prevents and decreases swelling. The T-belt is one of those reassuring garments that feel like you're being hugged and safely held in, no matter what you do during the day. You'll forget you have it on.
3.
The elastic bands that make up this pelvic support garment are precisely angled to rest at your pelvic bone and under your tummy. It sits at your hips in the back.
4.
The 1 " thick padding is the best part. Where other garments provide no real compression to the vaginal area, the T-belt does exactly that.
5.
The foam pad inside the gusset fabric is cut to be the right organic shape to put pressure in the vaginal area, and is thinner at either end. Without the bulk at the ends, it makes sitting comfortable. The pad is not meant to absorb fluids, but to provide pressure only.
6.
When using a sanitary pad, wear it inside your panties as usual. You can wear a maxi-pad anytime if you want extra compression.
